Combine all this and you can get a pretty good picture of just how powerful he powerful Jedi who's (raw) Force power is nothing compared to Kylo's or Rey's.Įxcept those master have better feats, including telekinetically rebuilding the Jedi enclave, and being powerful enough to sever Meetra from the Force. This is amplified by the Jedi's role in the galaxy in the ST, contrary to the PT where Jedi were sent on missions or had to fight in wars, they now actually had more of a 'studying' attitude because they seem to have no connections to the New Republic, which on itself would have accelerated their growth in the Force. We know from Bloodline that Luke has been learning from the Jedi that came before him, also evidenced in Shattered Empire, so he has been gathering knowledge from them alongside his students for a good amount of time. Kylo/Ben has immense raw power because he is a Skywalker and he studied at least until he was 23 years old under Luke, one of the most powerful Jedi ever. I agree that we can't perfectly place him like we can with other characters from the PT or OT but the margin you suggest, getting stomped to stomping himself, is extremely big and with the evidence we do have, it's quite inaccurate.Įdit: You could also look at it from a different perspective then just by feats. So again we can form an idea of what he can do while unhindered. Furthermore we do see him deflect a lightsaber multiple times at a moment where he is in such a bad condition that he can barely stand and can't even properly call upon the Force.
Secondly we know that he is a " master of TP", according to the Visual Guide so we can pretty much have an idea how advanced he is in this particular area. His skill with a lightsaber was probably second only to Luke in the new Jedi order as he was named 'Jedi killer' because of it and since at the age of 23, Kylo/Ben was still training under Luke it's very plausible that most of his peers were Jedi Knight material.
Instead of just saying "we can't know", we should look at what we do know about him.
